| It's been a crazy few months for the old Z. It developed a smoking habit the last few months and between driving it almost 3,000 miles to Z dayz and running it on the track at Nismo Fiesta she had had enough. ">
Once the engine was torn apart, my builder showed me the pistons and all of them were missing their rings except one. He was surprised the engine was still capable of running in the condition it was in. My buddy Darron had the enviable task of pulling the motor and taking everything apart. While he was disassembling the engine he called me with more bad news. One of the turbo wheels looked like it was chewing on a bolt for 15,000 miles. Great! Time for new turbos. This time I decided to upgrade to the 675rs turbos instead of going back with the 600r turbos. He also recommended going with 88mm forged pistons while we were rebuilding it for more low end torque.
